Acrylic Abstracts by Leon Gully

Leon’s journey into Painting began just a few short years ago during lockdown.  There was never a consideration that the product of his endeavours would grace the walls of others, but with growing confidence and an abundance of ability and inspiration, Aqualibrium Gallery are fortunate to be the first recipients of Leon’s Abstract Art.

Born and raised locally in Bembridge, Leon’s career began in hospitality and in his early 20’s he managed the Seaview Hotel at it’s prime (in our humble opinion).  Property Management was the next challenge, and since 2004 Leon has been a founding partner in one of the Island’s largest letting firms.

It is during his spare time that Leon is now found at his easel with a palette knife in hand creating wonderful abstract interpretations of our Island and its surrounding sea.  Leon’s favourite Island beach, Priory Bay, is a 10-minute walk from where he now lives in Seaview, and so his happiest inspirations are never very far away.
