Having enrolled in a short pottery course in 2019, Linda found herself smitten by her return to being creative after a career in finance.  Having purchased a kiln and wheel for her new hobby Covid struck  Thankfully a large order of clay was sourced before it was too late and Linda then spent lock-down practicing her throwing and pottery skills.  Linda's work is predominantly functional but she also enjoys creating pieces which are art in their own right.  Each piece is lovingly made by hand with no two pieces identical, even if based upon a similar theme so that they work together.  Often only part glazed to allow the natural clay to feature, Linda has also begun experimenting with Saggar and Smoke firing.  Local clays and natural glazes are now also being used as progression and new skills evolve.  Having returned to live back on the Isle of Wight where she grew up, Linda finds an endless source of inspiration inspiration in the Island's beautiful land, sea and sky.
